This is taken from their website: We choose to build wheels with a 1x pattern (with no lacing) as this preserves the closest aesthetic to a non-motor hub and we consider that this provides a strong wheel with 2mm spokes at around 100kgf. That saying, we do not insist that our hubs are built in any particular way - that is up to the skill and liability of the wheel builder.
